Human Casualties of GOP Decisions

This page is dedicated to showing you the many rights we Hoosiers have lost under the Republican Reign over the past 20 years from our Representatives' Harmful Legislation to our Supreme Court Rulings.  We have added "Project 2025" to this as we realize the GOP has been active in the destruction and dismantling of Indiana for many years.

Can we actually tally the cost of what we consider "BAD and/or HARMFUL DECISIONS" to our way of life, our healthcare, our bodies, our children, our disabled, our seniors, our veterans, our challenged Hoosiers young and old, our forgotten caregivers, our food, our air, our water, our property, our wetlands, our wild life, our parks, our schools, our now failed graduation standards to enter our own state universities, our first responders, our law enforcement?

INDems Applaud Appeals Court Decision on State Abortion Ban

INDIANAPOLIS — Today, the Indiana Court of Appeals upheld a preliminary injunction against the state’s near-total abortion ban for those whose deeply held religious beliefs are restricted due to the provisions of the law. The lawsuit will also continue as a class action, allowing more Hoosiers whose religious beliefs call for them to receive abortion care to join this case.

The original lawsuit was decided in Marion County trial court last year.

“Faith leaders from across the state stood up and opposed this near-total abortion ban because it went against the deeply held values and beliefs of many Hoosiers, and restricted the freedom to receive care even in situations where their faith necessitates it,” said Indiana Executive Director Dayna Colbert. “This law was passed for the benefit of the extreme right, without regard for the thousands of Hoosiers whose religious beliefs require them to receive care in many situations. We will continue to stand with Hoosier women of all faiths and backgrounds to restore full reproductive freedom to every family in our state.”

A little background of the ACLU: Founded in 1920, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is the nation's foremost guardian of liberty, defending individual rights and enhancing and preserving liberties that are guaranteed in the U.S. and Indiana Constitutions and civil rights laws.
